IB Physics and Mathematics. Explained passionately and with patience.
“Highly highly recommend! Of all teachers and tutors I have ever had Benson has been easily one of the best. He guides me through my thought process and helps solve any problems I have on the way, pinpointing exactly where I need improvement. He is also a tremendous help for my IA and is familiar with all topics in IB Maths and Physics. Well worth every minute.”

If you’re struggling with the unique requirements of IB DP Physics and Mathematics courses, I can give you exactly what you need to get unstuck.
Whether it’s advice on coming up with a research question for or structuring an IA or an Extended Essay, getting to grips with IB exam-style questions, or getting your head around how to propagate and report uncertainties in a physics lab, I know all the parts of these courses that students commonly struggle with and can help make your own journey a lot smoother.
I have a first-class honours degree in Mechanical and Space Engineering from the University of Queensland, Australia and the National Certificate for STEM Education from the National Institute for STEM Education, USA. I recently completed my Masters in STEM Education at American College of Education and I teach DP Physics (SL/HL) and MYP4/5 Mathematics at The Overseas School of Colombo (OSC), Sri Lanka. I also taught DP HL Mathematics and Physics for 7 years in China and Vietnam, and DP SL A&I Mathematics for two years at OSC. I have supervised 9 Physics EEs (currently supervising my 10th) and 3 Mathematics EEs.
For me, helping students succeed in STEM subjects isn’t just a career, it’s a cause to fight for. That’s why I call myself a STEM Education Warrior.
